range when cruising at 30 knots on an
80-gal (300-l) tank. Minimum foiling
speed with seven passengers and a
driver is 18 knots. Th e operating range
in full electric mode is a modest 10
minutes at speeds of less than 10 knots.
Th e benefi ts listed in the press release
include high stability, a 20% fuel savings
at top foiling speed, wake reduction
to less than a third compared to
hull-borne operation, a smooth and
quiet
ride, and low maintenance,
because the retractable drive units and
appendages allow for sheltered “stowage
in superyacht garages.”
